With the development of society, GPS system becomes more and more
important, it’s important for people to guide their ways and
monitor transport situation. It needs a good battery to power it,
in the past, the NiMh battery was widely used, but it has many
shortcomings, for example, short cycle life only 200~300 times, its
a problem to handle the waste with metal pollution, the work time
is not long but need to discharge it fully before people can charge
it again, this feature brings inconvenience for using.
Now, as the new rechargeable lithium battery technology developed,
most of GPS now is using lithium ion battery as power, at most 60%
is lithium polymer battery, because of it’s great advantages:
1-Light weight and small size, the lithium polymer battery is one
of the most light lithium batteries with its soft package, and with
its high cell voltage 3.7V, it needs fewer cells to make the

5- Long life. New lithium polymer battery has cycle life of over
500 times, can be used for 2~3 years.
